So I was working the other day and someone stopped by to ask directions to a particular restaurant. And since I’m new around the area I wasn’t sure, so I insisted that I look up in the phone book and give them a call. Here I am trying to find their number and not having any luck…so before I could even finish looking the lady shakes of her head makes some weird sounds and stomps out the door; all this happens in less than a minute. Anyway I’m standing there thinking… wait did I do something wrong? I thought I was trying to help her… wasn’t I helping here?...(of course I find out later that the restaurant she was looking for isn’t in or anywhere near the town!).
But let’s analyze this… the lady came in… asked for help… I didn’t know about the place (just like her).... and (even though its not part of my job) I still tired helping her in anyway I could ‘n yet she decided to ruin my entire day? Making me think as if I did something wrong?
So basically this post goes to all those cranky people out there; if you are having a bad day don’t take it out on other people. We didn’t ruin your day…because sometimes it only takes 1 to ruin someone’s entire day. I don’t think I’m asking for much… am I?? All I’m saying is when you go out just smile. Simple as that!!
I actually had written the following post a while back but couldn’t decide if I should post it or not… anyway here it goes:
It’s been few days since I found out the news about Heath Ledger. I was definitely shocked by the news and even worst to hear how he passed away. To an extent I still can’t believe this had happened. Ever since I saw one of his films, I absolutely adored him as an actor. I just hope the paparazzi would give enough privacy to his family to deal with this tragedy.
It just saddens me to think about people with so much penitential leaving at such a young age. I mean there is so much to do and accomplish in life. Of course, there are things out of our hands and we just can’t do anything except to deal with it and (sadly) move on.
I am sure a lot of people might be thinking “How come only such articles/posts are written when a star passes away, but if it had happened to an ordinary person no one would care.” I completely disagree with that statement. I guess the main reason is that the news about stars simply gets around faster than other news. Regardless of their star status they are still like ordinary people; with families, feelings, and problems!
Maybe it’s how I was raised or just what I’ve been through; every time I hear any news such as this one I start to get a weird feeling inside and light headed… reason being: I automatically put myself in their position. I know I shouldn’t be doing that but I can’t stop it. I start to think how his/her family might be feeling. How hard it might be to deal with news so terrible and unexpected. And if I can’t deal with it; just think how hard it might be for the people who are actually going through such times!
I don’t think anyone deserves to be hit by tough unexpected news!
